Inspiration

Oft haben wir das Gefühl zu fallen oder fallen gelassen zu werden. Doch was, wenn Du dich bewusst dazu entscheidest, zu fallen? Ein Sprung Richtung Freiheit. Das Gefühl, zu schweben. Der freie Fall. Mit diesem Thema beschäftigt sich meine Kollektion UNKNOWN FALLING.

Anlässlich des About You Festivals 2019 wurde eine Kollektion angefertigt, welche aus der Inspiration von Extremsportarten entspringt. Für mich persönlich gibt es nichts, das je extremer sein könnte als der freie Fall, weshalb meine Entscheidung auf das Fallschirmspringen fiel. Da ich bei meinen Kollektionen immer großen Wert auf Nachhaltigkeit und Einzigartigkeit lege, organisierte ich mir 3 defekte Fallschirme, um daraus meine Kollektion zu realisieren. Alle Teile der Kollektion lassen sich in mindestens zwei verschiedenen Weisen transformieren. Das Besondere an dieser Kollektion ist, dass der Herstellungsprozess genau so lebendig war wie das Ergebnis an sich. Ich habe meine Schnitte den Gegebenheiten der Fallschirme angepasst und schon vorhandene Nähte eingearbeitet oder als Saum genutzt. Eine Fallschirmfalte konnte ich sogar als Tasche für eine der Jacken nutzen, sodass man etwas darin verstauen kann.

Often we have the feeling of falling or being dropped. But what if you consciously decide to fall? A leap towards freedom . The feeling of floating. The free fall. This is the theme of my collection UNKNOWN FALLING. 

On the occasion of the About You Festival 2019, a collection was created that is inspired by extreme sports. For me personally, there is nothing that could ever be more extreme than free fall, which is why I chose skydiving. As I always attach great importance to sustainability and uniqueness in my collections, I organised 3 defective parachutes to create my collection. All the pieces in the collection can be transformed in at least two different ways. The special thing about this collection is that the process of making it was as alive as the result itself. I adapted my cuts to the conditions of the parachutes and incorporated already existing seams or used them as hems. I was even able to use a parachute fold as a pocket for one of the jackets, so that you can store something in it.
